Mu’azu Muhammad



Senior Program Officer with Johns Hopkins University’s Center for Communications Program in Nigeria

Mu’azu is a Master’s candidate at Columbia University’s School for International Public Affairs. He was previously a Senior Program Officer with Johns Hopkins University’s Center for Communications Program in Nigeria. He provides technical and programmatic leadership for Johns Hopkins USAID-funded social and behaviour change campaigns in North West Nigeria.

He is also the founder of the Power in Her Hand Initiative, which works to increase women's access to a low cost injectable contraception product. Mu’azu previously worked on implementing a
multi-stakeholder partnership on routine immunization among the Sokoto State Government, Alike Dangote Foundation, Gates Foundation, and USAID. He holds a Master’s in International Studies from Usmanu Danfodiyo University.
