Programme Officer (Jigawa)

Fatima is a graduate of Geography and a humanitarian enthusiast with outstanding experience and innovative contributions to the HIV research programmes, gender equality and SRHR in Northern Nigeria. She is passionate about working alongside the local community and has worked in rural, remote and urban regions to support change initiatives. She loves building connections to learn from and with community members.

Fatima is passionate about human rights issues, sensitizing the public about gender-based violence and addressing issues that affect the community members. She has over 4 years of experience working as a Programme Officer on various projects. Her expertise is in programme coordination, data collection, analysis, reporting, monitoring, supervision and advocacy.

During her career, Fatima led a team on the cross-sectional survey that assessed the prevalence of key HIV-related health indicators (NAIIS survey) across North-West Nigeria in 2018.
